If you require a prescription or lab work — or take a medicine that needs refilled on a regular basis — here are some helpful nearby resources.
There are many pharmacies in Providence, but most students use the CVS Pharmacy at nearby Providence Place Mall. It’s within easy walking distance from campus (about 10 minutes away).
If you have a home prescription that needs transferred to a local pharmacy, contact the pharmacy directly. For long-term medications, some students choose to have prescriptions delivered to their campus mailbox through Benzer Pharmacy in Providence.
Lab draws are typically done on-site at the Health Center and require an appointment during most of our open hours. You can bring an order from an outside provider and the lab will forward the results directly to that provider.
If lab work is needed before or after hours, students should use East Side Clinical Labs.
If you have private insurance, be sure to first check with your provider to be sure any recommended tests are covered under your plan.

Our services are available to students both on-campus and off-campus. We will do our best to provide care by phone or Zoom when possible.
All students must speak with a nurse before coming in. Please call during business hours to speak to a nurse.
