It’s hard to create and do great things when you’re not operating at your best. Good health and wellbeing means something different to every student, but it starts with making fundamental choices.
That’s why we’re committed to surrounding you with opportunities to help you choose and act wisely:
Physical exercise is vital to your overall wellbeing. Get started by taking advantage of RISD’s exercise and sports facilities, classes from cardio to strength training, and stretching and relaxation classes like yoga and Pilates.
Learn the basics of healthy eating, how to make smarter food choices and get help for food allergies or sensitivities.
When safety is a personal priority, it makes our entire campus a safer place to live and study. Take advantage of our educational and safety programs.
Watch for wellness programs and workshops designed to introduce you to steps to better health — from sleep hygiene habits to tracking your BMI.
Staying sober and drug free isn’t easy, but we can assist through individual counseling and referrals to area recovery programs.
In addition to RISD’s academic support services for students with disabilities, you can also count on our medical, behavioral, wellness and nutrition resources for help with any special needs you may have.
